[HDR Capture Test] Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Gameplay: Exploring Athens
To get the full potential out of this video, you must be watching on an HDR capable display, from a youtube app that supports HDR output.
I recently purchased a Ninja Inferno, a device that will allow me to capture 4K HDR video, and it will also result in more consistent recordings than my previous USB-based device, since it records directly to SSD on the device itself. I did have some issues with recording the footage for my upcoming AC Odyssey movie, due to an issue with either my GPU, the recording device itself, or my motherboard, or a combination of more than one of those things. The recording is mostly fine, but there were issues with dropped frames more than usual, and it was a pain in the butt keeping the audio in sync.
So those issues, and the prospective of creating HDR video going forward prompted me to buy this new recording device. Now, I couldn't use it for my AC Odyssey movie, since I've just finished recording all of the footage for that, but I will be able to make use of it for future movies. Imagine how good Horizon: Zero Dawn or Detroit: Become Human would look as an HDR movie!
By the way, my AC Odyssey movie has just entered post production, so keep an eye on my channel page, as I should be able to start providing more precise release window estimates soon once I figure out the average pace I'm completing post production. I'll post any new release window estimates in the channel banner image.
